Operation Christmas Child
Once again this year we will be collection shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Once you have completed a box, call us and arrange a suitable time to drop your box off.
Collection dates 1-18 November 2013
If you've never heard of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) before the basic idea is that you take an empty shoe box, and you fill it with small gifts for either a boy or a girl, who is living in a part of the world where due to war, famine, etc will not be experiencing the joy of Christmas this year.
After you have filled your box, and wrapped the box and the lid ...
...you put a sticker on the outside to show who the box is for.
The dates of the 2013 campaign run from 1-18 November - these are the dates between which you can hand in your completed shoe box. But obviously there is nothing to stop you packing boxes well ahead of these dates.
We will be collecting boxes at Camrose Baptist Church for collection on 18 November. If you want to drop off a box (before 18 November please) just give us a call and arrange a suitable time.
